The crown jewel of the Magna Carta MAG 650 fountain pen collection, the Goldspot-exclusive Oparex Lava is a pen erupting with awe-inspiring color.
In this collaboration between Goldspot Pens (USA) and Magna Carta (India), we developed a vintage-inspired model shape with gentle, graceful curves that's a pleasure to hold. To accent the elegance of the design, Magna Carta trims each pen in 24kt gold pvd appointments.
For this edition, we sourced synthetic opal from SANWA Pearl & Gems. Instead of being mined, the opal is grown in a lab with more consistent color and quality than natural opal. No matter how many pictures and videos we take of this pen, it's nearly impossible to capture the stunning colors and shine of this material.
To match the classic look of the MAG 650, Magna Carta fitted the pen with a sublime, 14kt gold fine, flexible nib. Once you put pen to paper, you'll be taken back to the era of vintage flex. Magna Carta's soft, gold nib provides generous line variation with consistent inkflow thanks to the ebonite feed. Fill the MAG650 with your choice of bottled ink (not included) or international ink cartridge. A converter is included and installed in the pen to start. It is also possible to convert this pen to an eyedropper filler.
Each Magna Carta Mag 650 pen is gift-boxed with a 5-year warranty. These pens are not individually numbered or limited.
